KRIT-FM 96.9 Fort Dodge Iowa J Michael Libbie 1989

J. Michael Libbie was the morning voice on KKEZ from 1979-85.  After leaving the station, he continued to be the voice of Westwood Ford for several years.  This was a major client who bought large spot runs on KKEZ, KWMT, Super 97 KRIT, and other local stations.  Both the jingle and J. Michael’s voice should be instantly recognizable to anyone who listened to Fort Dodge radio during this time.

By the summer of 1989, I had left Fort Dodge and was doing radio in Bend, Oregon.  So, a friend from Iowa Falls recorded this.  I’m not sure what she used for equipment.  The source tape was a Sony HF90 cassette.
